Fresh Air Living in Wernersville, Pennsylvania
View the Noss Property Sketch. In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Wernersville was a known as resort community. Philadelphians and New Yorkers visited Wernersville (a stop on the Reading Railroad) for R&R in South Mountain's fresh air. The community continues to draw residents who seek the quiet lifestyle with easy access to metropolitan centers.
DGWP Properties, LP, is developing a 180-acre tract in Wernersville, one of the first undeveloped parcels as you leave Reading, Pennsylvania, heading west along the 422 corridor. Working closely with South Heidelberg Township, the Partners have been successful in rezoning approximately 108 acres of light industrial for age-restricted housing (5 units per acre) as a by-right use. The remainder of the tract includes 61 acres of medium density residential and 17 acres of high density residential. The Borough has indicated a strong interest in rezoning the 61-acre portion to possible develop as a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) as shown on the sketch plan. This is an exciting project that will offer an outstanding array of senior living options.
